The car park is next to the main road so no peaceful view of Silbury Hill. You are no longer allowed to climb up Silbury Hill. There is a viewing area with a couple information boards.
What's there to say? It's a free car park! Parked the car, car was still there when I got back
This is our 4th time here and it's my favorite magical wonder of all time. If you can manage the climb ( not that I climbed it as you're clearly not allowed ) then Make sure you make your way down in at least semi daylight and not by skidding down it in total darkness through snails and slugs and god knows what else. Oh and take your rubbish with you please. There's nowt worse than folks ruining these sites with crisp packets and plastic bottles strewn everywhere. There needs to be more bins around here, I didn't see a single one. Great place to just stand at the bottom and wonder for a while.
