I phoned Bunces yesterday to check they were open for lunch, which they confirmed they were. We arrived today, got a table, asked for a lunch menu only to be told that the kitchen was closed. Only soup, loafs of bread and cakes were on sale.I received a blank look when I said I had phoned yesterday to check they were open.I won't bother trying to go again.
Always lovely food. It will be even better when they have their grill and a more extensive menu
Used to visit these people when they had the caf over at Honey StreetNice to see them open again and in town although this time on a smaller scale. Coffee and cake still delicious .Cafe can feel rather cramped as it is very small and on a rainy day when everyone is trying to get out of the weather it can get rather steamy in there.

Good atmosphere, nice staff, clean, well priced and really amazing homemade cakes and coffees.Sandwiches, breakfasts, soups are also made in house. Mum had the tomato soup with sourdough and was very impressed.
