Good venue for lunch/ dinner in pleasant surroundings.
yes very good on a grey day during Jan , it was busy , and fish meals excellent .He is living up to reputation here .The first time we have been .The place is nice , even though lots stairs , cosy and warm atmosphere.Have told friends to go ,

Honestly I could have cooked the food better at home. The service was a bit underwhelming even though acceptable. Experience was perfectly.acceptable but for the price paid acceptable isn't good enough. Fish was the overcooked and swamped in butter, greasy rather than crispy. More of a bath than a sauce. The steak was medium as ordered but the fat wasn't rendered and it had a beige feel about it.
Nice building, food okay. Shame about the service not matching expectations. Young staff no leadership at lunch on Thursday. They do their best. Not enough staff either putting them under pressure.
